Role Overview
- Position Type: Full Time Permanent
- Start Date: Term 1, 2027
- Location: Sirius College Melbourne and Regional Victoria (multiple campuses)
- Subject Areas / Year Levels: English (Senior), Years 7-12
- Salary: $78,564 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions.
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons across senior secondary year levels
- Teach VCE English and EAL/D (Units 1-4) with confidence and subject expertise
- Foster a love of literature, language and critical thinking across all year levels
- Maintain accurate student records, assessments and reporting in line with college requirements
- Collaborate with faculty colleagues on curriculum planning, text selection and moderation
- Contribute to the broader school community through pastoral care and co-curricular engagement
You're a qualified teacher who:
- Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply)
- Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
- Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
- Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
- Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
