Role Overview
- Position Type : Full-time, permanent
- Start Date : Term 1, 2027 or earlier
- Location : Melbourne's Northern Suburbs (Prep-Year 6)
- Salary : Both Year Level Coordinator (Years 3-4 or 5-6) and a Student Support Coordinator base salary range from $98,769 to $128,954 FTE depending on experience and classification, + a POR 4 allowance.
- Provide leadership and support to teachers across the allocated year level cohort, fostering a collaborative, high-expectations learning culture
- Lead curriculum planning, assessment design and moderation across the year level in line with the Victorian Curriculum
- Support the professional growth and development of teachers within the year level team through coaching, mentoring and collaborative planning
- Monitor and assess student progress across the year level, implementing targeted interventions and support strategies as needed
- Build positive, respectful relationships with students, families and the broader school community
- Contribute to the broader school community through pastoral care, co-curricular engagement and whole-school initiatives
- Coordinate and oversee student support programs including Literacy and Numeracy Foundation Programs, managing referrals, Individual Learning Plans and NCCD data collection for students with additional needs
- Collaborate with Learning Support Teachers, Integration Aides, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists and Counsellors to ensure a coordinated, evidence-based approach to student support across the campus
- Evaluate teacher referrals, assess student abilities and identify teaching and learning priorities for students with additional needs, providing practical strategies and specialist advice to classroom teachers
- Liaise with external professional services including speech therapists and psychologists, organising cognitive assessments and facilitating meetings with families to discuss results and support plans
- Draft Commonwealth and State funding applications, maintain accurate and confidential student records and ensure NCCD documentation is completed in line with national guidelines
- Provide regular updates to the Head of Student Support Services on program performance and student outcomes, and identify professional learning opportunities for staff involved in student support
You're a qualified educator and school leader - emerging or established - who:
