This role is based at a Years 7–12 girls’ secondary campus, supporting students through the important middle and senior secondary stages of their learning journey.

Role Overview

- Location: Melbourne’s North
- Teaching Setting: Independent, non-denominational secondary school
- Salary: In line with the relevant Victorian education agreement, depending on classification level and teaching experience

- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Years 7–12, supporting students through the middle and senior secondary stages of their learning journey.
- Build students’ confidence in reading, writing, speaking, listening, analysis and self-expression.
- Create a respectful, discussion-rich classroom where students engage with texts, diverse perspectives and real-world ideas.
- Differentiate learning, use feedback and assessment effectively, and support students to become critical thinkers and socially responsible communicators.
- Contribute to a values-led learning culture grounded in respect, inquiry, empathy, responsibility, resilience and educational excellence.
We are looking for educators who:
- Hold or are eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or a valid Right to Work in Australia (e.g. Working Holiday Visa, Skilled Migrant Visa)
- Hold or are eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
- Have a current resume and two professional references from the past two years
- Hold or can obtain up-to-date Mandatory Reporting certification
- Have strong classroom management skills and a growth mindset towards professional development
- Are a team player who bring energy, passion, and a commitment to student success
