Students are supported by a highly collaborative team of teachers, Allied Health professionals and education support officers including Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, a Physiotherapist and a Social Worker. Role Overview
  • Position Type: Full Time Permanent
  • Start Date: Term 3, 2026 (July)
  • Location: Melbourne's South-East Suburbs
  • Subject Areas: Performing Arts, Specialist School
  • Salary: $78,564 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions.
Role Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Performing Arts lessons aligned to the Victorian Curriculum, adapted to meet the diverse and individual learning needs of students in a specialist school setting
  • Develop personalised learning plans in collaboration with classroom teachers, Allied Health professionals and education support officers to ensure all students are supported and celebrated through performance and creative expression
  • Design inclusive, creative and collaborative learning experiences that build student confidence, self-expression and appreciation for music, drama and the performing arts
  • Maintain accurate student records, assessments and reporting in line with school and Department of Education requirements
  • Foster positive, respectful relationships with students, families and the broader school community in line with the school's values of safety, respect and learning
  • Actively contribute to the school's specialist program and broader community through performances, events, co-curricular engagement and the school's positive behaviour support framework
About You
You're a qualified teacher who:
  • Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply)
  • Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
  • Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
  • Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
  • Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
