Role Overview
- Position Type: Full Time Permanent
- Start Date: Term 1, 2027
- Location: Melbourne's South-East
- Subject Areas / Year Levels: Vocational Major, Years 10–12
- Salary:$78,564 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions.
- Interview Timeline: Immediate interview availability for shortlisted applicants.
- Deliver Vocational Major (VM) curriculum across Literacy, Numeracy, Work Related Skills and Personal Development Skills, supporting students in Years 10–12 to meet VCAA requirements.
- Develop individualised and group learning programs that connect classroom learning to real-world vocational contexts, building student agency and post-school readiness.
- Coordinate or contribute to structured workplace learning (SWL) placements, industry partnerships and VET pathway navigation for VM students.
- Apply differentiated and inclusive teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs, backgrounds and goals of students enrolled in the Vocational Major.
- Collaborate with the senior school leadership team, wellbeing staff and external providers to deliver a holistic support network that keeps VM students engaged, motivated and on-track.
You're a qualified teacher:
- Hold or are eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply)
- Hold or are eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
- Have an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
- Bring creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
- Maintain high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
