The second campus, one of Victoria's newest Catholic secondary schools, is growing rapidly and will accommodate 1,500 students by 2028. Role Overview
- Position Type: Full Time Permanent
- Start Date: Term 1, 2027 (January)
- Location: Melbourne's Western Suburbs
- Subject Areas / Year Levels: Auslan, Years 7-12
- Salary: $78,564 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions.
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive Auslan lessons across Years 7-12 aligned to the Victorian Curriculum
- Foster deaf awareness, cultural understanding and inclusive communication practices across the school community
- Design dynamic learning experiences that inspire students of all abilities through innovative and contemporary teaching approaches
- Maintain accurate student records, assessments and reporting in line with college and VCAA requirements
- Collaborate with faculty colleagues and the Domain Leader Languages on curriculum planning, moderation and professional learning
- Contribute to the growth and development of the Auslan program in line with the college's Catholic and Franciscan values
You're a qualified teacher who:
- Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply)
- Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
- Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
- Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
- Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
