Role Overview
  • Position Type: Full Time Permanent
  • Start Date: Term 4, 2026 (October)
  • Location: Melbourne's Western Suburbs 
  • Subject Areas / Year Levels: Chemistry and Science, Years 7-12
  • Salary: $78,564 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions.
Role Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Chemistry and Science lessons across Years 7-12 aligned to the Victorian Curriculum and VCAA requirements
  • Teach VCE Chemistry (Units 1-4) with confidence and subject expertise, supporting students to achieve their personal best in senior pathways
  • Design practical and inquiry-based learning experiences that foster scientific curiosity and critical thinking across all year levels
  • Maintain accurate student records, assessments and reporting in line with college and VCAA requirements
  • Collaborate with faculty colleagues on Science curriculum planning, moderation and professional learning
  • Contribute to the broader school community through pastoral care and co-curricular engagement
About You
You're a qualified teacher who:
  • Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply)
  • Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
  • Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
  • Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
  • Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
