Role Overview
- Position Type: Full Time Permanent
- Start Date: Term 4, 2026 (October)
- Location: Melbourne's Western Suburbs
- Subject Areas / Year Levels: Chemistry and Science, Years 7-12
- Salary: $78,564 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions.
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Chemistry and Science lessons across Years 7-12 aligned to the Victorian Curriculum and VCAA requirements
- Teach VCE Chemistry (Units 1-4) with confidence and subject expertise, supporting students to achieve their personal best in senior pathways
- Design practical and inquiry-based learning experiences that foster scientific curiosity and critical thinking across all year levels
- Maintain accurate student records, assessments and reporting in line with college and VCAA requirements
- Collaborate with faculty colleagues on Science curriculum planning, moderation and professional learning
- Contribute to the broader school community through pastoral care and co-curricular engagement
You're a qualified teacher who:
- Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply)
- Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
- Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
- Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
- Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
