Role Overview
- Position Type: Full Time Permanent
- Position of Leadership: POL 3 (three-year tenure)
- Start Date: Term 1, 2027
- Location: Melbourne's Western Suburbs
- Salary: $78,564 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions.
- Lead pastoral care and student wellbeing across a designated House group, supporting the physical, social, emotional and academic development of students
- Supervise and mentor Learning Mentors, fostering House spirit and a culture of care and belonging
- Implement wellbeing initiatives and behaviour management strategies in line with college policies and restorative practice principles
- Monitor student attendance, uniform, behaviour and academic progress, communicating proactively with families and staff
- Organise and oversee House assemblies, inter-House activities, and charitable initiatives throughout the year
- Collaborate with the Deputy Principal, Student Wellbeing team and subject teachers to support students with diverse needs
You're a qualified teacher who:
- Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply)
- Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
- Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
- Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
- Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
