Role Overview
  • Position Type: Full Time Permanent
  • Start Date: Term 3, 2026 (July)
  • Location: Melbourne's Western Suburbs
  • Subject Areas / Year Levels: Humanities, Years 7-9
  • Salary: $78,564 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions.
Role Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Humanities lessons across Years 7-9 aligned to the Victorian Curriculum
  • Foster critical thinking, inquiry-based learning and global awareness across junior and middle year levels
  • Apply evidence-based teaching strategies to support diverse learners in a highly multicultural school community
  • Maintain accurate student records, assessments and reporting in line with college and Department of Education requirements
  • Collaborate with faculty colleagues on Humanities curriculum planning, moderation and professional learning
  • Contribute to the broader school community through pastoral care and co-curricular engagement
About You
You're a qualified teacher who:
  • Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply)
  • Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
  • Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
  • Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
  • Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
