Role Overview
- Position Type: Full Time Permanent
- Start Date: Term 3, 2026 (July)
- Location: Melbourne's Western Suburbs
- Subject Areas / Year Levels: Latin Language, Secondary School
- Salary: $78,564 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions.
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Latin language lessons across secondary year levels, integrating a Christ-centred worldview into teaching practice
- Select and use a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies to suit the diverse linguistic, cultural and social backgrounds of students
- Demonstrate best practice in curriculum development, implementation, evaluation and assessment in line with college curriculum requirements
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records and provide timely, constructive feedback to students and families
- Actively contribute to the college's co-curricular program and participate in rostered supervisory duties, staff devotions and faculty meetings
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, Learning Area Coordinators and key staff to ensure student wellbeing, safety and academic growth are supported at all times
You're a qualified teacher who:
- Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply)
- Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
- Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references
- Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery
- Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing
